My Background
My journey to Bella's Boutique and Gifts has been shaped by a diverse range of experiences, all of which have contributed to the vision and values behind our shop in Amherst. Growing up in Lorain instilled in me a strong sense of community, which was further nurtured during my time at Lorain County Community College, where I earned Associate's degrees in both Business and as a Paralegal. These studies provided a valuable framework for the practical aspects of running a business.
Life then took an exciting turn when I ventured to northern Michigan to own and operate a bakery. This entrepreneurial chapter was an immersive lesson in the dedication, hard work, and customer connection that small business ownership demands. It was there that I truly honed my customer service skills, learning the importance of building relationships and creating positive experiences for everyone who walked through the door.
Upon returning to my roots in Northeast Ohio, the desire to build something new took hold. My background also includes valuable experience in the housing industry, where I further developed my ability to understand and meet people's needs, navigate different situations, and provide helpful solutions. Additionally, for a period, I worked as an independent contractor for Paparazzi Accessories. This experience allowed me to connect with a wide range of individuals, build my own micro-business, and understand the drive and dedication of those pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
Combining these diverse experiences – the structure of business and law, the hands-on demands of the food industry, the people-centric nature of housing, and the independent spirit of direct sales – fueled my passion for creating Bella's Boutique and Gifts. As a crafter myself, I wanted to build a space that not only offered unique and beautiful items but also served as a platform to support and uplift other talented creators in our community. Bella's is a reflection of these experiences, a place where customer connection, quality finds, and the celebration of independent artistry come together in the heart of Amherst.
